Watford keeper Loach happy being watched by Spurs

Watford goalkeeper Scott Loach has welcomed interest from Tottenham.

The Daily Mail says Spurs assistant boss Kevin Bond, coach Joe Jordan and scout Ian Broomfield were at Vicarage Road to watch Loach help the Hornets to a 3-1 win over QPR on Monday night.

The 21-year-old has been pinpointed as a replacement for Carlo Cudicini after the Italian was ruled out for the rest of the season following a motorbike accident.

Cudicini has been understudy to Heurelho Gomes since moving to White Hart Lane from Chelsea in January but suffered fractures to both wrists and received pelvic damage in a collision last month.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp admitted last week he is facing an uphill battle in trying to attract a top-class keeper to Whiter Hart Lane but he will be encouraged by Loach's comments.

He said: "If Tottenham were to knock on the door and I were to go there, brilliant. At the moment, though, I'm concentrating on trying to help Watford get to the Premier League."
