Watford defender Miguel Britos has revealed that Marco Silva's ability to speak English has helped the Hornets' communicate easier.

One of the main reasons why Walter Mazzarri was sacked from his post as manager of Watford during the summer was allegedly due to the fact that he was unable to speak English and Britos has now gone on to admit that new manager Silva's ability to communicate in the language has made it a lot easier for the entire squad.

Britos, who scored the equalizer in the 3-3 draw against Liverpool, said: "He has brought new ideas about the football he wants to play. He is a good coach and in the beginning we have to improve.

"I knew Mazzarri from Napoli and I don't know if it is much easier this season. It is a good thing that Marco Silva speaks English and it makes things simpler.

"It is a new season, new coach, new players and we start well, so it is always positive when you start with a good result."
