Watford eyeing Burnley striker Sam Vokes

Watford are eyeing Burnley striker Sam Vokes.

The Mirror says Watford are ready to bid for Vokes if they sell Troy Deeney.

Hornets legend Deeney's place at Vicarage Road is under threat after just five goals in 38 appearances last term.

Watford could cash in on the burly striker, 29, if they get a decent offer.

Clarets' targetman Vokes,28, is among their targets to replace Deeney in Watford's squad. Welsh international Vokes, who has 10 goals in 59 caps, has just one year left on his contract at Turf Moor.
