Almen Abdi believes he and his Watford teammates undeservedly came away with nothing from Wednesday night's clash with Manchester United.
The Hornets were beaten 1-0 at Old Trafford with Juan Mata's superb 83rd-minute free-kick the difference between the two sides in a match which Abdi felt could have gone the other way if not for some poor finishing from the visitors.
"I think we played really well, especially the first-half and the first 15 minutes of the second-half," the Swiss midfielder told Hornets Player HD.
"I think we could have been winning at least two or three nil, but it's our own fault because we didn't score.
"When you have these opportunities at Old Trafford you have to take them and you have to score.
"In the end it was a great free-kick from Juan Mata, but it was a great performance for us and we deserved a little bit more today, so we must remember that."
Watford had a few good chances throughout proceedings but were unable to breach David De Gea's goal in what was a disappointing result according to Abdi.
"I don't know why we couldn't score tonight, maybe we were a bit unlucky but De Gea was also very good," he added.
"We weren't clinical enough, but sometimes it's hard and the important thing is that the performance was good against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
"But in the end, we go home with no points and that is of course disappointing."
