Watford defender Adrian Mariappa is eager to make the move to Reading.
The Daily Mail says Mariappa is interested in joining Reading but the takeover at Watford may delay matters.
Reading have already had a £2million bid rejected for the 25-year-old defender and may have to go up to £4m now to get their man.
