Watford are wrapping up a deal for free agent Marco Motta.
Former Juventus defender Motta is waiting for an international clearance.
The 28-year-old, capped once by Italy, was released by the Serie A leaders earlier this month after four and a half years with the Turin side.
He previously played for Udinese, the Italian top-flight side owned by the Pozzo family which also owns Watford.
