Non-league side Welwyn Garden City are upset with Watford after they canceled a preseason friendly on Friday.
The non-leaguers from Hertfordshire had already paid out for food, drink and programmes.
After condemning the Premier League outfit, Watford chief Andy Scott got in touch to apologise.
Welwyn tweeted: "We are really pleased and thankful that @WatfordFC Director of Football @andyscott8421 has personally taken the time this morning to contact our manager and offer the clubs sincere apologies and that they will work with us in the coming days to support us with any loss occurred."
