Released Southampton attacker Gaston Ramirez remains a wanted man.
The Sun says he has started a war between Middlesbrough and Watford – after he was released by Southampton.
Uruguayan international Ramirez, 25, has cost Saints almost £24m in transfer fees and wages in his four year stay at St Mary's – since joining from Italian side Bologna.
Flop forward Ramirez spent the second half of last season at Boro, cutting back his £60,000 a week salary to £40,000 in a bid to get first team football.
But Watford are keen to add the ace to boost their attacking line – with new boss Walter Mazzarri impressed by Ramirez when he faced him in Serie A.
