Watford captain Deeney brands Man Utd defender Rojo 'a bit scared'

Watford captain Troy Deeney has taken aim at Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo.

Deeney slammed Rojo for his reckless challenge on Idrissa Gueye in the early stages of Sunday's clash at Everton.

"I think anyone watching the game would agree. I think it was a poor tackle and he strikes me as someone who's a bit scared of getting hurt himself, so he's thought 'I'm going to do everything I can to protect myself'," Deeney told Match of the Day.

"We have to give the boy from Everton credit because he jumps straight up and doesn't roll around screaming. We make a lot about players rolling on floor making little tackles really bad. But that's a shocking tackle."
