Watford boss Marco Silva: Greece sack culture worse than Premier League

Watford boss Marco Silva says the sack culture now engulfing the Premier League is nothing like what he's seen in Greece.

Silva, who only lasted one year at Olympiakos before quitting for personal reasons, believes it is far less stressful managing in England.

“In Greece it is always worse," he said.

“It is the life of the football manager - you need to prove something day by day, game by game.

Earlier this year, Silva's countryman Paulo Bento was sacked by Olympiakos despite being seven points clear at the top of the table.

“Football is not perfect - there is pressure when you don't achieve results."
