Watford boss Dyche sacked as Zola waits in wings

Sean Dyche has been sacked as Championship Watford boss, paving the way for Gianfranco Zola to be appointed as his successor, BBC Sport is reporting. It is understood Dyche, who has been in charge since June 2011, was given the news at Vicarage Road on Monday.

The Hornet's new owners, the Pozzo family, say they already have a verbal agreement with Zola to become manager.
