Watford assistant Head coach Zigor Aranalde has hailed the signing of Gerard Deulofeu labelling him a "fantastic player".

The Spanish winger completed his loan move to the club from Barcelona earlier this week and will stay until the end of the season.

He said: "As a club we are very delighted to have him (Deulofeu) here, we know the qualities he's got- he is a fantastic player coming from Barcelona.

"I'm sure he will help us achieve our objectives".

Deulofeu could make his first appearance for the Hornets against Stoke on Saturday, whilst it will also be new manager Javi Gracia's first Premier league game in charge of Watford.
