Watford are keen to hold on to loanees Tom Cleverley and Henri Lansbury and will ask permission of their clubs to keep them at Vicarage Road.
20-year old Manchester United midfielder Cleverley and Arsenal's 19-year old Lansbury are both on loan deals with the Hornets and have impressed in their time at the club, prompting manager Malky Mackay to attempt to extend their initial stays.
"We are talking to their parent clubs about it. It depends on their ideas for the players. I know both players are happy," he said.
