Water under the bridge between Krul and van Persie as far as Newcastle boss Pardew is concerned

Alan Pardew suggests that the war of words exchanged between Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul and Arsenal captain Robin van Persie on Monday night has been beat up.

The Dutch pair verbally clashed on a number of occasions during Arsenal's 2-1 come-from-behind victory at the Emirates Stadium early in the week but Magpies boss Pardew believes it's all water under the bridge although he feels van Persie could be the one to settle it once and for all.

"Tim has suggested it is all forgotten, I am sure van Persie is the same," Pardew said.

"It would perhaps be nice for van Persie to call him and being the senior figure, which he is in the Dutch camp, say he perhaps got over-exuberant, and we can all move on."
