Watching Fergie? Van Persie: Arsenal boss Wenger best in the world

Feyenoord striker Robin van Persie has paid tribute to his former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

Former Arsenal striker Van Persie, 34, claims he “owes everything" to Wenger and says he is the best boss he has ever worked with - including Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Van Persie, who has rejoined his first club Feyenoord, said: “Arsene is just the best manager in the world.

"This is why I want him to be successful with Arsenal. He deserves it.

“I owe everything to Arsene Wenger. He has been crucial for me in my development as a player and as a person.'

“I only have warm memories. I enjoyed every day, every minute I worked, trained and played for Arsene.''
