New Chelsea signing Tiemoue Bakayoko admits Michy Batshuyai had a big influence on his move from Monaco.
After prolonged negotiations over the past couple of months, Bakayoko is now a Chelsea player.
Batshuayi made a similar switch last summer as he arrived from Monaco’s Ligue 1 rivals Marseille for £33m.
The two swapped a series of tweets of emojis late on Thursday, hinting a deal was imminent.
After the signing was confirmed by Chelsea, Bakayoko wrote on Twitter: “Thanks to my agent @mbatshuayi.
He added: ”I would like to say thank you to all my fans and followers for your kind words throughout this journey - as you know, I love championships!
"As a Ligue 1 champion, I am even more determined to win as many championships as I can with my dream team Chelsea. I am pleased to represent the Blues!
"Thank you, yours truly, TB."
