Jay Rodriguez marked his first home appearance for Southampton in more than a year with a stunning goal.
The 26-year-old striker was starting at St Mary's Stadium for the first time since March 2014 when he powered home a 25-yard effort to force a 1-1 draw with Spanish side RCD Espanyol.
The opening goal came from Salva Sevilla in the 10th minute before Rodriguez, who is returning to full fitness from a lengthy absence with a knee injury, leveled in fine fashion much to the delight of the Saints fans.
After the match, Rodriguez admitted he it felt great to be back on home soil and performing in front of the Southampton faithful.
