Real Madrid signing Vinicius Junior was sent off for Flamengo against bitter rivals Botafogo yesterday.

The previous game between the two rivals saw Vinicius taunt fans and opponents after scoring - which led to a furious backlash from Botafogo supporters.

Yesterday's clash, won 1-0 by Fla, saw Vincius thrown on for the last 20 minutes, but he was dismissed after just 10 minutes following a clash with Botafogo's Igor Rabello. The 17 year-old was shown a straight red card.

Vinicius is expected to join Real Madrid for preseason before a decision is made whether he is registered with the squad or loaned to a LaLiga rival for next season.
