Olympique Lyon ace Memphis Depay has won Ligue 1's Goal of the Year.

The former Manchester United attacker hit a wonder goal from the halfway line against Toulouse.

Upon receiving his award, Depay declared: "Thank you, I'm very happy. I'm happy to bring this trophy back to Lyon, but I'm already thinking of getting better next season.

"This is just the beginning for me here. I've only been here for six months, I've had a complicated season."

Depay turned up at the ceremony sporting a Michael Jackson-esque jacket and added: "My jacket? I obviously prefer my goal. My jacket does not mean anything, it's just nice! My goal is very pretty. And there will be many more soon."
