Frank Lampard was the hero for New York City FC on Thursday.
The English midfielder scored a late brace as his side defeated DC United 3-2 at the Yankee Stadium.
Lloyd Sam, formerly of Charlton Athletic, Leeds United and New York Red Bulls, gave DC the lead in the 36th minute before Spanish star David Villa replied for NYC in the 79h minute.
Chelsea legend Lampard then fired home his 300th goal for club and country to give the home team a 2-1 lead on 85 minutes prior to Lamar Neagle's injury-time equaliser for DC.
However, Lampard produced a fine finish in the 93rd minute to send Patrick Vieira's side to the top of the Eastern Conference table, and you can see by his reaction just how much it means to him!
