Wasted money as fans fail to use their season tickets
Premier League fans wasted an amazing £42.5 million last year by not using their season tickets.
The average supporter missed four games in the 2009/10 season which equates to £93 based on the price of a Premier League season ticket.
Over 1.75 million Premier League season ticket seats were left empty in total according to a study.
Chelsea and Manchester United already offer a season ticket exchange and more clubs are being encouraged to follow suit.
Chelsea chief executive Ron Gurley said: "Since we launched the ticket exchange three seasons ago, tens of thousands of tickets for Stamford Bridge that might otherwise have gone to waste have been resold safely and legally."
