Columbus Crew coach Robert Warzycha has been rewarded with a new two-year contract reports the Columbus Dispatch.
The 48-year old former Poland international has been at the helm at Crew Stadium since the start of the 2009 MLS season and with the club looking like making a third consecutive play-off series, he has been handed a new deal.
"Robert's record speaks for itself, and he's done it under difficult circumstances," Crew president and general manager Mark McCullers said.
"I'm not sure some fans appreciate what he's been through."
Warzycha, who has Crew sitting on top of the Eastern Conference table, indicated that he plans on sticking around for a little while.
"This is an organization that appreciates your work and values you as a person," Warzycha said. " For me, I'm not looking for anything else."
