Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock will welcome the appointment of a director of football.
Eagles chairman Steve Parish is keen to bring someone in to work above Warnock and the 65-year-old has no issue with that.
"It's an important role and one that Palace need," Warnock said.
"We've talked about a number and I've given my own suggestion as well and I think we've got to look at every aspect of that.
"Not just 'am I gonna deal with him', I'm on about the whole structure of the club."
