Warnock still undecided on move for former West Ham defender Gabbidon

QPR boss Neil Warnock will be rushed into any decisions over trialist Danny Gabbidon. The Wales defender, released by West Ham last month, featured as one of four Hoops trialists in a 13-0 friendly win away to Cornish amateurs Tavistock.

Gabbidon made just 92 appearances in an injury-hit six-year spell with the Hammers after leaving Cardiff, where he made 219 appearances and scored 10 goals.

Warnock told www.qpr.co.uk: "We're just looking at Danny. "I spoke to him last week and I told him to come to Cornwall - there's no pressure down there.

"He can come and train and we had a really tough session running yesterday morning. It also gives him the chance to look at us too."

"I am training with QPR at the minute and let's see what happens," Gabbidon told Sky Sports.

"I have been impressed by the manager's ideas for the club and what he intends to do in the Premier League next season."

Gabbidon's agent, Jamie Moralee, added: "Danny has several offers from home and abroad, but when he heard about the interest from QPR he wanted to meet the manager and join up and train with the squad as it's exciting times there," he said.

"Neil is interested in Danny as he is a quality defender and his wealth of Premier League experience could prove helpful for them this season."
