Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock is seeking a lift in quality for the January market.
Warnock reveals he needs to improve 'two or three' areas and could even have his first signing in on New Years day.
"The chairman knows, he has been supportive," Warnock said.
"We know we need two or three areas, not just numbers but quality.
"Something we are lacking quality, we don't want to disrupt what we have got and we don't want to risk the team spirit that we have got.
"They need to be better than what we have got that's for sure.
"It would be nice to get someone in on the January 1. It is not easy though. It seems to always end up as a scramble in the last few days, but it is not all doom and gloom."
