Warnock ready to raid Palace for QPR

Neil Warnock plans to raid Crystal Palace for their best players when he takes over at QPR.

The Mirror says the Eagles boss is set to leave the Selhurst Park club and move across London after tonight's FA Cup replay at Aston Villa.

Rangers are ready to pay £1.5million in compensation to a club in administration since last month.

Warnock, 61, will maintain his status as the Championship's highest paid manager with a two-and-a-half year contract worth £1m a season.

The former Sheffield United boss hopes to take his signings Darren Ambrose and Neil Danns - as well as teenage defender Nathaniel Clyne.

Former Palace favourites Gareth Southgate and Steve Coppell will be the frontrunners to take the job at Palace.
