Leeds boss Neil Warnock is close to finalising a deal to bring his first major summer signing to Elland Road as he looks to overhaul the Championship squad for a sustained promotion push next season.
Warnock said:
When asked if he had considered specific targets in mind for next season, the former Sheffield United and QPR boss said: "I already have done.
"We've almost agreed to sign one of my main targets on May 1. I want to get going as quickly as I can now. I think we need quite a few players."
Warnock, who has been linked with several players he has previously worked with since replacing Simon Grayson in February, added: "You can assume anything you want, you'll have to wait and see." "It will be a time for reflection now. There's still certain players I need to see two or three times if I can in the next six games and then I've got an overall judgement on what I'm looking at.
