Warnock pleased with Leeds friendly win at Preston

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock was delighted with the performance in their 3-1 success at League One Preston on Saturday. Following the game, Warnock said: "I thought it was excellent. We are stepping up and we are now just a couple of weeks away. You could see the work we put in."

Leeds led at half-time thanks to a Tom Lees goal but that advantage disappeared shortly after the restart and Warnock says the players need to work on their starts to the second half in games.

He added: "We are just starting the second half a little bit sluggish, against Torquay and Preston, so we have to work on that a bit."
