Warnock expects QPR to buy in January

QPR boss Neil Warnock admits he needs to buy in January to be sure of Premier League survival.

Under Tony Fernandes, and returning vice-chairman Amit Bhatia, Warnock is now flourishing at QPR.

"We have a fighting chance," he told the Sunday Mirror. "I suspect we will need to strengthen in January because we need more depth to our squad.

"But they are very supportive.

"We have nowhere near the depth of squad more established sides have in this league. And when you get injuries, it's the difference between success and failure at this level.

"The fans are understanding. They realise there are times when we might get battered.

"But you tell me how many fans would chant your name if you are losing 6-0 to a London rival?

"They did!"
