Blackburn Rovers fullback Stephen Warnock is delighted to be reunited with former Liverpool teammate El Hadji Diouf.

"He is a fantastic player," Warnock told the Lancashire Telegraph. "I think he will be a very important player for us.

"You will see he is very comfortable on the ball, he always wants the ball. He wants to make things happen.

"He is not afraid to lose the ball either. If he makes a mis-placed pass you will always see him asking for the next ball and he is a good asset for the boys and is a good character around the place as well."
