Warnock confirms Cardiff want Liverpool fullback Clyne

Cardiff manager Neil Warnock has admitted that he would like to sign Nathaniel Clyne.

The full back returned from long term injury this season, but has not been able to get back into the first team.

He only played in the Carabao Cup defeat against Chelsea in September.

Warnock is hoping for a loan or cut price move in January.

"I know Nathaniel, I gave him his debut," Warnock said in his press conference.

"But the thing about that is they (Liverpool) have had a lot of injuries and they've got to look after themselves. It's very difficult to get clubs to commit.

"He (Clyne) would be one on our list, yes. We are looking at that position."
