Blackburn Rovers fullback Stephen Warnock won his first cap for England in Sunday's victory over Trinidad & Tobago.

"I knew that if I came to Blackburn and played week-in, week-out, I'd give myself a chance. That's turned out to be the right decision," said Warnock.

The Rovers full back came on for the final six minutes of the match in Port of Spain that Fabio Capello's side won comfortably.
