James Ward-Prowse has called on his Southampton team-mates to develop a good run of form at home as they look to challenge for a place in the top seven of the Premier League this season.
The Saints have undergone a mixed bag of fortunes so far this season and they have potentially season defining games over the coming weeks as they come up against the likes of Newcastle, West Bromwich Albion, Burnley and Brighton.
Ward-Prowse said: "It is an important period.
"We want to make St Mary's a fortress and a place where we know we are either going to win the game or have a chance of winning the game, so those home games are important.
"We just need to keep plugging away at what we are doing and what we have been working on and keep belief in the players as to what we can go out and deliver."
