Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse admits the quality inside the squad is making him a better player.
Ward-Prowse is delighted Saints trio Adam Lallana, Jay Rodriguez and Ricki Lambert were involved for England last week against Chile.
"It's a hell of a compliment for Southampton that those three have been called up, and it's not just those three but the others as well," said the teenager.
"You've got Dejan Lovren looking to qualify for the World Cup with Croatia and Gaston Ramirez with Uruguay too, so I think Southampton has become a club that is recognised worldwide and that everyone is striving to do well.
"Adam Lallana has been a massive role model for me at the club. When I was younger, he was a role model in terms of his path to the first team, his loyalty to the club and the way he came through.
"I think on a day-to-day basis in training, the way he applies himself and his love for the game is admirable for everyone."
