James Ward-Prowse says Southampton are ready to upset Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham.

Spurs have been installed as clear favourites ahead of the Premier League clash, having avoided defeat in 14 top-flight fixtures on home turf this season.

But Ward-Prowse is keen to notch up a win prior to the international break after enjoying an extended period without a game since claiming a thrilling 3-2 win at Vicarage Road.

"We showed great character in the way that we bounced back and showed the depth of that character in the win at Watford," the 22-year-old told Southampton's official website.

“Football revolves around momentum and I think we can carry into the Tottenham game.

“They've got a bit of momentum themselves and I think it'll be an important game to win heading into that international break."
