Warburton still hoping to lead Brentford into Premier League

Brentford boss Mark Warburton believes they can still reach the Premier League.

Warburton will leave Brentford regardless how the season will finish.

The Bees are two points outside the top six going into the final weekend of the season and a win against Wigan Athletic could be enough if Derby or Ipswich slip up.

"All we can do is focus on getting the right result and hopefully we have three more games for the club," Warburton said. "David and I are very disappointed by the decision that the club have come to but we have to respect it.

"The emotional side will come because I leave a lot of good friends and there is a lot more to come from this squad of players. I am not going to get a chance to grow with them and see how far they go, but that is football. The aim is to get a win tomorrow and then let's see where we are."
