Brentford boss Mark Warburton insists their current success is no real surprise.
Brentford have won five on the bounce to equal a 75-year-old record.
"We have a squad with good unity and a really good work ethic," Warburton told the London Evening Standard.
"They tasted success last year with promotion and they are very keen to have more of that. They are not prepared to stand still. Those are the key things that drive this group forward. We are playing against players, in terms of wages, who are on much more than our lads are on. When you come up against talented individuals, it is your collective unity and work ethic that can overcome that."
