Mark Bresciano is set to finalise his departure from Palermo and sign a deal with Serie A rivals Fiorentina. Sources in Italy told tribalfootball.com that the 30-year old attacking midfielder will not have his Palermo deal renewed and a contract with the Florence outfit is high on the cards.

Bresciano was recently linked with a move to a club in the Middle East and speculation suggested that he had signed a lucrative deal but he scuppered those rumours when he was in Melbourne for the World Cup send off clash with New Zealand in late May.

The former Empoli and Parma man has also been linked with a move to English Premier League club Manchester City in the past but a deal never eventuated and he remained in Sicily.
