Darron Gibson is still regarded highly at Manchester United.
The midfielder has attempted to get a move away this summer, but saw a switch to Sunderland fall through, while interest from Stoke City has dried up.
However, the Irishman remains highly thought of at United and actually captained the reserves yesterday in their 7-1 friendly win over Spartans.
Gibson stood in at centre-half for the first-half.
