Steve McClaren completed his transformation from zero to hero as his FC Twente side won the Dutch league, reports The Sun. The ex-England manager was dubbed "the wally with the brolly" after the Three Lions failed to qualify for Euro 2008.
But Twente's 2-0 win over 10-man NAC Breda today sealed their first title in the club's 45-year history.
McClaren's side finished one point clear of Martin Jol's Ajax thanks to goals from Bryan Ruiz and on-loan Chelsea midfielder Miroslav Stoch.
