Ross Wallace admits Sunderland will miss Paul McShane with the Irishman suspended for the next three games.

"Paul has been outstanding since he has been here - the fans took to him right from the start because he gets stuck in and he wears his heart on his sleeve," said Wallace.

"That's what supporters want to see, passion from whole-hearted players, and he gives it to them week in, week out. It's unfortunate that he will miss these games because he has done well and he's an important player for the team, but we can cope with this."
