Tottenham fullback Kyle Walker has jumped to the defence of frozen out teammate Emmanuel Adebayor.
Walker would love to see Adebayor considered for selection.
"He is a fantastic player and he trains really hard," Walker told the London Evening Standard. "It's not up to me to decide whether he plays or not: that is a decision for the manager. But we're fully behind him and the manager.
"You don't play for Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid if you're not a decent player. I believe fully in every striker we have at the club. Adebayor, Jermain Defoe, Harry Kane, who came on (in the Capital One Cup win) against Hull and scored.
"It just takes time. The goals are going to come, most definitely. It's just about being patient and if we keep clean sheets, we can't be beaten so the worst we can do is draw."
