The Football Association of Wales have cancelled Friday's press conference for their friendly with Finland due to mounting speculation regarding manager Chris Coleman.
The 43-year old is being linked with the vacancy at Crystal Palace, which has prompted plenty of doubt concerning his Wales future, so the FAW have decided to forego the media meeting and release the squad via email so it is not overshadowed by the speculation.
"We have discussed it with Chris and we have decided to release the squad by email because it would be a worthless exercise holding a press conference when all the questions will be about Chris' contract and Crystal Palace," a FAW spokesman said.
"We are not hiding anything. Chris will be in Cardiff on Friday."
In addition, former Arsenal, Celtic and West Ham United striker John Hartson has stepped down as Coleman's assistant citing family reasons and increasing commitments as a commentator for the decision.
