Wales door open to Derby veteran Savage

Derby County veteran Robbie Savage could make a return for Wales.

Savage, 35, was left out of Brian Flynn's first squad for the Euro 2012 double-header with Bulgaria and Switzerland later this month.

But the Derby County midfielder - who won his last cap six years ago following a bust-up with John Toshack - could still yet earn a reprieve.

Caretaker Wales boss Flynn said: "He offered his services. I have since spoken to Robbie and explained the situation to him. After these two games, who knows? My door is open and my phone is on 24 hours."
