Wales coach Chris Coleman wants the Crystal Palace job.
The London Evening Standard says the Wales manager would find it hard to resist an approach.
It is likely Coleman would want to bring in his long-time friend and Wales assistant Kit Symons as his No2.
However, Palace will need to move quickly as the pair are considering the offer of a new contract from the Football Association of Wales after their team concluded World Cup qualifying with a win over Macedonia and a draw against Belgium.
Although Coleman enjoys the Wales job, the former Fulham boss would love to return to the Premier League, especially with a club he still has a strong affinity with.
