Wales coach Chris Coleman is delighted for Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen after he was named Wales Player of the Year last night.

Coleman has not been surprised by Allen's progress, while he has also praised the player's attitude.

"The last 12 months have been incredible for Joe . He was born to play for a club like Liverpool and excel," said Coleman.

"He's a great character, very humble and never gets carried away."
