Theo Walcott has told Arsenal teammates that their youth is no longer an excuse.
For the last season or two the players have said they cannot hide behind their youth and that they have experience, regardless of their age.
The England winger told The Sun: "We have to push on. We can't use the excuse of being young players any more. We've got so much experience now we can't keep on saying we're kids who are still learning.
"I've played in the Champions Leagues and made over 100 appearances, Jack Wilshere has come on and grabbed his chance with both hands, while Cesc Fabregas may be only 23 but he has bags of experience.
"It's just getting that balance right. There can be no excuses, the fans have waited too long."
