Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was buoyed by the scoring performances of Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey in Wednesday night's 2-1 Champions League win over Marseille.
Walcott shrugged off a poor showing in front of goal in the weekend's victory over Sunderland to score a superb volley to give the Gunners the lead in the 65th minute of their opening Group F fixture.
Welsh midfielder Ramsey made it six goals in six outings to continue his hot streak in the 84th minute and both players were praised by Wenger for their output.
"He [Walcott] has scored the most difficult of his chances and that should give him a boost and I am sure he will continue to score," he told Sky Sports.
On Ramsey he added: "It is outstanding and that is linked with his confidence, now every time he is in a good position he scores - scoring goals is like in cycles where sometimes it always goes for you."
