Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has heaped praise on his teammate Mesut Ozil.

The England international believes that the German playmaker is capable of conjuring genius on a football pitch.

In the wake of the 2-1 win over Manchester City on Monday, Walcott said: "Mesut Ozil is very modest!

"He sees things that nobody else does, you just have to make that run. And we have special players on the pitch that provide special moments in a match, they can conjure up that kind of genius.

"Obviously it is a team game but you need these kind of players if we are to continue to do what we do at this time.

"The amount he gives to the team, the threat going forward and defensively, he puts a shift and other people might not see that side of the game."
