Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner has explained their deal for Erik Durm.

The former Borussia Dortmund fullback signed for the Terriers last week.

"Erik has excellent fundamentals in terms of endurance and speed. And he has great footballing qualities, in addition he is a very fine person," enthused Wagner to Sport1.

Wagner, meanwhile, admits he doesn't see himself long-term at Huddersfield.

He added: "It is clear that I will not stay here forever but at some point look for a new challenge."
